Annotator guidance (Step 1)

In create/edit project Step 1:

  • Instructions. Short inline text, shown inside the annotation UI.
  • Reference link. URL to a longer doc (Notion, Google Doc). Annotators can open it from the annotation screen.

Step 2: Ground truth (GT)

After Next, you get Select or create GT.

GT is a rich-text guideline that defines correct answers and conventions. It is used as:

Two tabs:

Select existing. Pick a GT already in the organisation. A live preview appears under the dropdown. You can leave this empty if the project does not need GT.

Create new. Template name plus a rich-text editor. Saved to the organisation and attached to this project.

Create a new GT document

Click Create project (or Update project). The project shows on the list.

Versioning templates

Every time you change an existing project’s task template, you must supply a new version name. Old batches keep the template they were uploaded with; new batches use the latest version. History is on the Batches screen via View task template.
